World Artifact is a base resource. You will need a World Artifact Decrypter. Depending on the level of the World Artifact, it can take game hours to unlock. The World Artifact Decrypter requires a Blueprint. World artifacts will create a distinctive crackling noise which can sometimes be of help when searching for them. Usually Artifact Guardians will spawn as soon as a player begins to decrypt an artifact. When either the artifact decrypter or generator is destroyed, the decryption of artifacts is stopped immediately. For this reason it can sometimes be difficult to successfully harvest the artifact. Alien towers are an excellent place to find artifacts and are the almost exclusive place in homeworlds to find artifacts. Tundra world Arctic Rock is one Exo-Planet which usually has many artifacts.
