Building in GRAV[edit | edit source]
There are nine categories in the Build Menu (default
B), namely: Crafting Base Items, Placed items, Powered Base Items, Defensive/Offensive, Mining, Wood Rooms, Stone Rooms, Glass Rooms and Metal Rooms.
You start the game with some of the Crafting Base Items available and all of the Wood Room variants. All other room categories (Stone, Glass, and Metal) can be acquired by researching the specific room variant at the Research Station. The other categories require a blueprint and appropriate job level to be built.
Crafting Base Items[edit | edit source]
Crafting Base Items allow you to research, construct and create a variety of items including weapons, ammunition, armor, organics, etc. Each station has its own dedicated function and can be placed in the world almost anywhere the player desires. Base Items do not require power from a Generator.
Placed Items[edit | edit source]
These are items that are placed in the world but do not conform to a grid and are not used for research and crafting.
Defensive/Offensive[edit | edit source]
Mining[edit | edit source]
These are the structures you'll use to harvest resources and collect taxes. Some require you to find blueprints out in the wild, some are purchased through the Research Station.

This will start the process of unlocking the World Artifact.
The Cagite Harvester.
Powered Base Items[edit | edit source]
These are the buildings that require a Generator to operate and provide you with a variety of benefits.
Rooms[edit | edit source]
What fun is a survival game if you can't build bases? These are some of the rooms you'll have available to construct bases with.
