Dark Gaia, also refered to as DG, is an essence that cannot be collected through killing creatures and has to be obtained from a drill platform. Almost all armor and weapons are available with a dark gaia essence. The dark gaia blueprints can be collected from a drill platform once the normal blueprint has been obtained. High level dark gaia weapons and armor pieces are very effective as they inflict 1.5x damage onto the common 4 elements (ice, fire, poision, electric) and 2.0x damage on players equipped with variants of player soul armor.
